Following his studies at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Dr Garcia trained at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA and at Dallas Southwest Medical Center, Dallas, TX.

Dr Garcia is an associate of the College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons as well as an associate of the American Professional Wound care Association. Other professional affiliations include the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association.
